The CEO

The CEO is the Consensus government Patriot of the Industrial Age Industrial Age, automatically available as soon as Capitalism is researched at the Senate.

Like all Patriots, The CEO works like a General, having the same special abilities and giving an armor increase to troops within his radius, and benefits from all regular General upgrades at the Fort. Unlike ordinary Generals however, The CEO cannot be bribed or sniped, and also provides some unique bonuses:

  • Buildings and troops in his radius heal as long as they are not taking Attritio attrition damage.
  • All friendly units in his radius are immune to bribery and sniping.
  • All friendly units in his radius have +2 attack range and line of sight, except for artillery units.
  • (Undocumented/hidden) Gather rate of Citizens and Scholars in a single own city within his radius is increased by 50%, and productivity of Caravans going to the city is increased by 25%.
    • This includes (i.e. stacks multiplicatively with) resource-enhancing buildings such as Granaries and resource-enhancing upgrades.
    • This does not affect Oil Wells and Refineries, nor the Taxation line, Merchants, and the base productivity rate of buildings (such as 10 Knowledge Knowledge from Universities).
    • The bonus to Caravans only applies to the ongoing Wealth income of an already-established trade route. It does not apply to the Wealth bonus given for creating a trade route.
    • The effect radius is determined by whether the city is within the CEO's range, not by whether the Citizen / Scholar / Farm / University etc is.
    • If within range of multiple cities, the bonus will apply to the Citizens/Scholars of the city which the CEO is closest to.

The CEO will first become available right after Capitalism is researched, so his only cost is that of the government itself. If fallen in battle, he will automatically respawn from the Senate after 30 seconds.
