The Redoubt is the fourth and final Fort-type building, upgraded from Fortress at the Modern Age once Military 6 (Nation-in-Arms) is researched.

When upgraded from the Fortress, the Redoubt gains +900 hit points, +1 armor, +1 range, +2 maximum garrison power, +2 LOS and +20 Metal plunder value. With the Engineering technology from the Lumber Mill, the Redoubt gets a maximum of 5980 hit points. That, along with the highest armor of all structures, makes the Redoubt a quite durable structure.

Trivia

• The Redoubt, unlike the majority of buildings, does not benefit from the Hit points bonus granted by Large and Major Cities.
