A mod (short for modification) is a piece or collection of custom-made content to modify, expand or alter the content of a computer game. They are usually created and maintained by fans. Mods that add new content to the underlying game are often called partial conversions, while mods that create an entirely new game are called total conversions and mods that fix bugs are called unofficial patches.
HEALTH WARNING: This is not a comprehensive list of all mods out there, but covers the most frequently updated and popular ones If you wish to add a mod here, please leave a message for VelvetClaw. |
