Longbowmen are the British unique Foot Archer of the Classical Age that replaces the standard Archers.
Overview[]
Compared to Archers, Longbowmen have +8 hit points, +1 attack strength, +2 attack range, and cost -10 Timber, as well as doing -5% damage against all units except Heavy Infantry, against which they do +23.5%[note 1] damage.
Longbowmen are not only cheaper than Archers, but also the unit with the longest range of the age, even surpassing their line of sight, which allows them to keep out of their enemies' reach for longer and more effectively, even more so by their ability to sustain more damage.
