Horses are one of the 31 rare resources. They appear as a group of four brown or white namesake horses (Equus caballus).
Like with all rare resources on land, Horses can be gathered by sending a Merchant from the Market to the resource location. Horses provide the following benefits:
- +10
Food gather rate - +10 Metal gather rate
- Cost of Stable units reduced by 15%.
The gather rate of rare resources can be increased in various ways, as described in the main article. Note that 
Metal is not gathered until a nation has entered the 
Classical Age and linking a Horses resource while still in the 
Ancient Age might not provide the full benefit.
