The Armored Cavalry is the Ranged Cavalry of the Information Age, available to upgrade from the Armored Scout Car and are built at the Auto Plant.
Overview[]
When Armored Scout Cars become Armored Cavalry, they gain +18 hit points, +1 attack strength, +1 attack range, +2 movement speed and +1 line of sight.
Armored Cavalry fire two separate shots per attack salvo, which can give the appearance that they attack at twice the speed of Armored Scout Cars. Each shot will deal half of the full attack's damage, but because each shot is part of the same attack there's no further interaction with enemy armor (unlike units which do actually attack at double-speed such as Samurai), there's no difference to overall DPS.
Trivia[]
- The Armored Cavalry uses two models; the more common of the two is the Bradley Fighting Vehicle (specifically the M2 variant) that is used by all nations except the Bantu, the Chinese, the Egyptians, the Mongols, the Nubians and the Russians which uses the BMP infantry fighting vehicle (specifically the BMP-2 variant).
