The Armored Car is the Ranged Cavalry of the Industrial Age, available to upgrade from the Carabineer along with the Hussar as the successor of Light Cavalry, and are built at the Auto Plant.
Overview[]
When Hussars become Armored Cars, they gain +19 hit points, +4 attack strength, +11 attack range, +1 armor, +1 movement speed, and +3 line of sight. When Carabineers become Armored Cars, they gain +36 hit points, +1 attack strength, +1 attack range, +2 armor, +12 movement speed, and +1 line of sight.
Armored Cars are strong against most infantry units, but weak against Tanks.
Trivia[]
- The Armored Car used by most nations in the game is modeled after the British Rolls-Royce armored car, which was developed in 1914 and used in World War I and in the early part of World War II.
- The American-exclusive Armored Car is modeled after the M8 Greyhound, which was produced during World War II. It may have originally been intended to be an Armored Scout Car rather than an Armored Car, as this better fits the time period of its real-life counterpart. (In fact, the Iroquois and Lakota have their Armored Scout Cars modeled after the M8 Greyhound.)
